"All the world's a stage, And all the men and women merely players." -William Shakespeare
Theatre is a place of magic and storytelling, of make-believe and fiction. But at its core, theatre is so much more than that. Theatre is a teacher—of empathy, of compassion. It requires you to step outside of yourself, to consider life from the eyes of another human being. It is as humbling as it is rewarding. Jefferson Players is a theatre troupe that believes wholeheartedly in the power of theatre and how it makes us better people: kinder, gentler, but also braver and bolder.
Theatre is a place of love and acceptance, and at Jefferson Players, we are no different. So, welcome to our family. Step into the spotlight, you are going to be amazing.
